About

Kate’s interest in Paediatric OT stems from her own experiences as a child attending the therapies of her older brother. She now has over 15 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist, since graduating with first class Honours from LaTrobe University, Melbourne.

Having grown up in Brisbane, Kate couldn’t wait to get back to where the weather was warmer, and started her career working with children and families of children with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental conditions.

Throughout her career Kate has worked in government and non-government organisations, and developed a keen interest in Assistive Technology to help make life easier, as well as in particular areas of Paediatrics, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing, Picky Eating and Problem Feeding, and toileting. Kate has presented Continuing Professional Development for carers, other health professionals, and Teachers on topics including Home Modification, Car Modification, Switching and Environmental Control Units, Child Development, Sensory Processing and the Zones of Regulation and Alert Programs. Kate started Outcomes Therapy in 2016, to ensure there was another option for parents on the North Side of Brisbane, to receive individualised and compassionate therapy support, in the environments that suited their child’s and family’s needs.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her growing boys, sewing and keeping active.
